eBay Description Block
Introduction
The eBay Description Block is used to display the description of your listing directly in your template. This block ensures your template looks professional and that the real listing description from eBay is displayed automatically.
⚠️ Important: You cannot type your own description here. The text in the block is just a placeholder. Once you apply the template to your eBay listing, it will automatically show the actual description from your listing.
1. Adding the Block
- Open the Components Panel on the right side of the editor.
- Drag and drop the eBay Description Block into a column inside your section.
Tip: Always place blocks inside a column first. Columns control layout and spacing, so your description will appear neatly and consistently on all devices.
2. Understanding the Placeholder
When you add the block, it will show a default heading and placeholder text:
Heading:
"Product Description"
Content:"Your eBay listing description automatically populates here"
- The heading is editable—you can change
"Product Description"to anything you like, such as"About This Item"or"Item Details". - The text itself is a placeholder. The actual listing description from eBay will replace it automatically when the template is applied.
3. Customizing the Appearance
Even though the placeholder text will be replaced automatically, you can still style the block:
- Click the description block to open its settings panel.
- Adjust the following to match your template:
- Font family – choose a style consistent with your template.
- Font size – make headings bigger for emphasis.
- Color – match your template theme for readability.
- Alignment – left, center, or justified for clean presentation.
- Spacing – padding and margins to separate it from other blocks.
Styling helps make the description look visually appealing when the real content from eBay appears.
4. Best Practices
- Keep headings short and descriptive.
- Pair this block with eBay Image Block for a complete listing layout.
- Remember: the description content is always pulled from eBay, so focus on styling and layout rather than typing your own text here.
