Text Block

Introduction

A Text Block is one of the most basic building blocks in your page. It allows you to add words—like titles, paragraphs, or captions—anywhere on your layout.

Text is how you communicate with your visitors, so it’s important to know how to add, edit, and style it properly.

1. Adding a Text Block

  1. Open the Components Panel on the left side of the editor.
  2. Find the Text Block component.
  3. Drag and drop it into a column inside your section.

Important: You need to place it inside a column (not directly in the section) so your text aligns nicely with other content and your page layout stays organized.

2. Editing Text

  1. Click on the text block you just added.
  2. The text becomes editable directly on the canvas.
  3. Type your new content.
  4. Click outside the block to save your changes.

Think of it like writing on a sticky note that you can move around the page.

3. Styling Text

The Styles Panel on the right lets you customize your text. Here’s what you can do:

  • Font Family: Choose the type of letters (like Arial, Roboto, or Times New Roman).
  • Font Size: Make your text bigger or smaller.
  • Font Weight: Make it bold, normal, or light.
  • Text Color: Change the color of your letters.
  • Alignment: Left, center, right, or justified.
  • Line Height & Letter Spacing: Adjust the space between lines or letters for better readability.

Tip: Treat font size, color, and spacing like clothing—make sure it’s easy to read and looks good with the rest of your page.

4. Using Text Blocks Effectively

  • Headings: Use larger, bold text to create titles or section headings.
  • Paragraphs: Keep body text readable with proper font size and line spacing.
  • Captions & Notes: Smaller text works well for image captions or footnotes.
  • Consistency: Stick to 1–2 fonts for the whole page to keep it visually clean.

5. Tips for Beginners

  1. Always place text inside a column.
  2. Break long paragraphs into smaller chunks.
  3. Use headings to guide the reader.
  4. Preview your page to ensure the text is readable on different screen sizes.
